Pride and Joy and Pure Yummy

I am NOT a chef. I wish I was a baker, but I’m not that either.  So when I decided to bake a cake from scratch for our 4th of July party, it was a huge deal.  I always dirty unnecessary bowls, stress about every detail, and make a giant mess along the way.  I got it in my head that I wanted to bake something strawberry, and I went in search of the best recipe.  Of course, Pioneer Woman had something that sounded divine – and it was.  You have to try this Strawberry Shortcake Cake.  I could have eaten the entire thing, so I forced myself to send any leftovers home with others.  It was just that good – if I do say so myself.
