    Love the candids.

The Look

Whenever she’s had enough. Whenever her brother touches her. Whenever she’s trying hard not to crack a smile. This is the look I get.  And even when it exasperates me, I still love her. I couldn’t decide if I prefer it in color or b/w…

I like it in color. Just got to love those looks :) Kara has a few of her own. Now if only I could figure out how to get her not to cry whenever I tell her no.

  • GrammyApril 23, 2009 - 9:17 am

Yes I agree – in color, and I do recognize that look – too cute!

  • MareApril 27, 2009 - 12:46 pm

I think I’ve seen a older version of this look *wink*.

Living Vicariously

Man, some people have all the luck . Yes, I’m going to throw a little pity party about how I never win anything – but at least I can live vicariously through my friends. Just this week, my friend won tickets off the radio to see Rent at the Hobby Center – fortunately I get...

Before and After

I thought it would be fun to share a little before and after… because the before shows just why Jack’s grin was THIS big :) And the after is what I was really attempting to capture in the first place. He discovered some giant heart suckers while rummaging around in the game room last week....

so cute! from one sucker mom to another… if our kids teeth rot out… at least they’ll be happy in the process!

  • andyApril 20, 2009 - 9:32 am

well as Adam Sandler said in big Daddy “you’re gonna loose them teeth anyway so what does it matter!”

  • MareApril 20, 2009 - 10:55 am

sometimes you have to spoil the child

  • SuzanneApril 21, 2009 - 8:15 am

He is so cute!! I love that big smile. I’m all about keeping kids happy–even if it requires candy. :)

  • GrammyApril 21, 2009 - 10:05 am

He looks so proud of himself!

Puddle Jumping

I’m bummed that it’s raining and we had to reschedule a shoot tomorrow, but we made the most of it, and spent some time searching for puddles tonight.  How wrong is it that I bought these wellies for Kate “for her birthday” but in reality I had these picture in mind when I made the...

  • LJApril 18, 2009 - 3:15 pm

  • MareApril 20, 2009 - 10:54 am

wellies? is that a brand name?

Peeking

This might be my new favorite picture of my two beaks. It is SO THEM… peeking into our next door neighbor’s back yard – completely engrossed in whatever’s going on back there.

I LOVE how Kate is on her tip toes! Precious! And is she trying to protect Jack if someone comes by grasping his hand or trying to get closer and him out of the way?

  • LauraApril 16, 2009 - 11:11 pm

haha! yup – i’m pretty sure she’s about to shove him out of the way…but we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she’s “protecting” him :)

This is my new favorite, too! And I was just thinking what Laura said – “Move over Jack! You’re in my way!” But yes, let’s give her the benefit of the doubt.
