Amber and Alan | expecting | sugar land maternity photographer

Way back in 2008, I got a call from Amber asking if I’d shoother wedding.  She found me online, and I have NO idea why she called. I had nothing about weddings on my site – I was a child and family photographer.  But I told her I thought I could do it if she’d give me a shot.  We met for coffee, and I knew I liked this couple.  I have never felt more appreciated on someone else’s wedding day as I did at their wedding.  Plus, they are ridiculously good-looking and a TON of fun.  Since then, 80% of the weddings and some of the families have been friends of Amber’s and Alan’s.  My photographer friends always ask “how can I get an Amber?”  And I laugh and tell them to find their own.  I have been excited for this day since they got married —  you mean, everyone’s not like us and gets pregnant 8 months after their wedding?!?

So when Amber called and told me she was expecting a little girl in November, I did the happy dance! I got to photograph their engagement, their wedding, now their maternity session, and next the arrival of their first-born.  And this is why I love my job so much. I love being witness to growth, change, celebrations, and documenting family’s stories — what a privilege.
