At the beach with the Youngs | upland family photographer

Thankful to document these friends of mine in San Clemente a couple weeks ago. The beach is a magical place to shoot- even with a water-loving toddler. His smart mama brought along his swimsuit, so we captured some of John enjoying the beauty of this place.  I think one of the reasons I love sessions at the ocean is because I get to play with different kinds of light all in the span of an hour. We used back-lighting, direct light, silhouettes, side-light – and I love them all. Which are your favorites?
