My Family | Beach Camping, Epic Sunsets, Film | San Clemente, CA

For three years now, we’ve spent a week of summer camping in San Clemente. Those weeks have become some of our most treasured family memories and a tradition we hope to continue for years to come. This year, I shot a few rolls of film on an old 35mm Pentax. One roll was expired, but I used it anyway.

Our home away from home – the site we love sits on the bluff overlooking the ocean. We spend every evening looking out at the sunset.

It’s always fun when friends drive down for the day, especially when we have an epic boules match.

I gave my 11 year old daughter the camera and told her she could take it to the kids “secret hideout.” She shot the following five images.

One of the best things we do is go to a laundromat and do all of our camping laundry in one shebang.
