Good things to Come

It’s been an amazing summer here at LWP – both personally and professionally!  I’ve loved being a part of so many amazing moments in my clients’ lives from marriages to babies to birthdays!  Obviously I’ve taken a bit of a blog break, but for good reason. I’ve enjoyed lots of summer family fun, some travel and books, and oh yeah, just a little hard drive hiccup recently that gave me a few headaches and late nights.  And now I’m back, up and running on a new machine and I hope you’re ready for a mini marathon.

I’ll also be opening up my fall calendar next week (a newsletter will go out to clients first.)  If you know me, you know my favorite thing is Christmas and holiday cards!!! My husband says I’m a card snob.  Well this years are far and away my very favorites.  I’ve already got my own planned and ready to go — yup I don’t have time to clean my bathrooms, but I can definitely design my Christmas card in July!

If you’d like to get the newsletter with a special offer, click on the sidebar on the left to subscribe 0r just contact me.

First up this weekend is Leigh and Garrett’s wedding.  Post and slide show around the corner…

Celebrate Lindsey and Ryan | married! | sugar land wedding photographer

You may remember Lindsey and Ryan from their cute engagement session. Now they’re Mr. and Mrs., and I had the pleasure of capturing their wedding day!  They got married in the Tiki Island Chapel in a simply elegant ceremony.  Lindsey wanted it to be a relatively low-key affair, and I love how that gave us more time to focus on them as a couple!  Lindsey was a stunning bride and chose the perfect colors for her bouquet and hair florals.  Most of all, I love how Ryan and Lindsey laughed together throughout the morning – whether it was while we were doing portraits, or during the ceremony!

Lindsey and Ryan, thank you!!  It’s been so great getting to know you and being a part of your wedding memories!

Celebrate Kenna and James | Married! | Sugar Land wedding Photographer

I told my husband that this wedding was so fun because I really felt like I knew Kenna and James.  I shot their engagement photos last August, and then we became facebook friends ;) and I got to keep up with the happenings of their life – James’ Naval assignment, finals, graduation, etc. And then I had the privilege of shooting Kenna’s bridals a couple months ago and hanging out with her and her mom.   Come wedding day, I was thrilled to celebrate with them and their families.  Kenna is one of the most expressive people I know, and photographing her is SO MUCH FUN because she doesn’t hold anything back.  James and his groomsmen totally hammed it up for the camera too.  But most memorable?  Kenna’s bouquet — it was epic.  :)   To view their slideshow click here.

We had to have some fun with a sword and en epic bouquet and all…

Loved their personalized sunglasses favor and m&ms!

See. Epic.

I’m so happy for you guys, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you two TOGETHER!!   On another note, thank you to my TWO fabulous assistants for the day — my second shooter Nicki, and my amazing husband!

Celebrate Staci and Jason | Expecting | Sugar Land Maternity Photographer

We took these photos before I left for my family’s summer vacation, so little Ashton is due in just a few short days!  I can’t wait to meet him.  Staci and Jason are long-time Sugar Land residents, live a short distance from where Jason grew up, and now get to raise their first son here – near both their families.  I think there’s a lot to be said for staying close to your roots.  We had so much fun capturing this expectant time before their world completely changes!

Staci, thanks for being so patient on this blog post — you are one beautiful, glowing mama  :)
