This little peanut was a sleeping beauty!  One thing that’s fun about newborns is anticipating their arrival. Baby girl had been on my calendar for several months, nameless, and I loved getting the phone call that she had arrived and hearing her name is Cierra — so gorgeous.  Then she blessed me with uninterrupted sleep and sweet baby smiles.  Chuck and Alexcia were those amazing parents who sit back and trust you to capture their little one, and so we got some amazing images.  I just LOVE this first one.  I love the simplicity of it with the pop of green from this sweet headband :)

Well I didn’t think that Quin could get any cuter after our session last fall.  But boy, was I wrong!  Just look at him now!  Being a red-head AND a longhorn — I’m smitten!!  Our session had a bit of a rough start, and Quin wanted nothing to do with the camera.  After a delicious goldfish snack, and some playing in the shade, he was ready to go and not at all stingy with the smiles.   I first photographed this wonderful family back in the fall of 2008 when Kimberley was pregnant with Quin — I can’t believe it’s 2.5 years later!  THIS is one of the reasons I really love my job.  I’ve gotten to capture Quin and his big brother Case as they grow up, and it’s such a privilege.  Thank you Kimberley and Will for having me out again to see your boys!

I completely love the photo below!  hehe!  Maybe you had to be there, but that little scrunched up face with the fish tail sticking out just makes me laugh!

Poor Laura has waited long enough for this sneak peak.  Like I told another client who is now viewing her gallery and never did see a sneak peak on the blog, I’m VERY behind on blogging, and I’m determined to play catch-up this week.  Wish me luck!

Thomas just turned one, and to celebrate, we took some photos of him at his great-grandmother’s home — the same home where his mother had her bridal portraits taken, and where childhood photos from family members abound!  I love when the location can be special as well as the milestone.  Thomas hammed it up for the camera, and loved being the center of attention.  Of course, it made my little photographer’s heart go pitter patter when I saw this gorgeous wall of ivy along the driveway, and this lovely family piece that Audrey was kind enough to let us drag outside!

Laura and Edward, thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate Thomas with you guys!  I really do want to eat him up  :)   Hope these always help you remember him at one!!

So many times I get images in my head of what clients looks like who I haven’t even met — and I’m always dead wrong.  I should really stop trying.  I did not imagine Marianne as a blonde, and I certainly could not have imagined how cute, cute, cute her two girls would be.  Three month old Norah, *sigh*, is beyond gorgeous.  And Bekah’s smile, *grin*, well it doesn’t get any better than that!  It was such a privilege to meet this amazing family, and I just love how their candid photos show how much Marianne and Andy adore their two girls, and how much these girls adore them!

I love me some mommy and baby shots!
