the party’s over on facebook right now!!! I’ll be back to blog all these awesome sessions soon, but right now THIS is where it’s at =) See you over there — You can “like” me to keep up with the latest LWP news.
“and laugh don’t cry” Remember that song by Christopher Cross? Such a sad song. I always wished someone would write a really happy song for my name. But this Laura will definitely make you smile. As I was going through her wedding images, I wanted to make a collage of all the photos where she has a huge grin!! Laura has one of the prettiest smiles I’ve ever seen, and I just love these bridals we did in Houston. Stunning.

All day long, it threatened rain for Mike and Laura’s outdoor reception at her parent’s lake house in Athens. The skies grew dark. It rained during the indoor ceremony. And stopped. It turned out to be a beautiful night for a wedding! We almost didn’t do a first look – but I’m so thankful that we did. Laura was stunning, and I loved getting to capture her and Mike by the lake before it got dark. Then we had time to snap some photos in their awesome vintage ride on the way to the reception. Apparently this car was driven by a famous Beatty (Mike’s last name) – Warren, in the movie Bonnie and Clyde. I thought that was cool!
They danced the night away with friends and family, and then left by boat! Lots of cool transportation at this wedding =)
It’s clear that Mike is head over heels in love – but really, what’s not to love? A longhorn. A girl named Laura. What more could you want?!?

To Laura, Mike and your families – thank you so much for having me capture your wedding and your memories! It was such a pleasure!
And I can not forget my awesome second shooter and friend, Nicki - so much fun hanging out with this girl it’s almost like it’s not work ;) Not to mention her fabulous captures!

It always amazes me how quickly a year goes by when measured by my sweet newborn clients. Hallie was a beautiful, happy baby, so it shouldn’t surprise me that she’s a gorgeous, smiley one year old. Her one year session was so much fun – we just played and played until she decided it was time to go home. She may or may not have been fussy in that silhouette shot – but that was the perfect end to our evening together!
